An APC Stalwarts, and former Managing Director, Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Economic Commission, ISOPADEC, Chief Charles Orie has said, shaping Imo state’s future requires transparency, inclusiveness, and forward-thinking leadership. 

He made the statement, via zoom during a meeting with the members of the Imo State Progressive for Change 2027.

Chief Orie urged diasporans to engage in the state’s political and developmental affairs.

The Diaspora Director General of Imo State Progressive for Change (ISPC 2027), Dr. G.C. Onuegbu expressed his pleasure for all the members of the global Diaspora Branches who attended the meeting last Saturday from various parts of the world with Chief Charles Orie.

The meeting, which had over 100 participants in attendance was characterised by deep engagement and robust discussions, Dr. Onuegbu said.

The meeting encouraged active participation in governance and fostered meaningful discussions on important topics on good governance, party politics, and ways to enhance diaspora involvement in governmental affairs.

He said, the meeting is part of the ongoing activities of ISPC 2027 to encourage Imo State diaspora members to engage in civic activities, and support progress and good governance in Imo state.

The Imo State Progressives for Change (ISPC 2027) is a global movement promoting good governance, equity, and progressive leadership in Imo State, Nigeria, Ogene Ndigbo Newspaper gathered.

According to the DG Onuegbu, he said “It is a diaspora-led organization, currently active in 45 countries across Africa, Europe, North America, South America, Asia, and Australia, united by a shared vision to transform Imo State through visionary leadership, civic engagement, and grassroots mobilization”.

In the same development, the Deputy Director General and a Financial Expert, Sir Ahamefula Nwosu expressed his pleasure for members who attended the meeting. He thanked them for their efforts, especially for keeping the organisation running to achieve its goals. He expressed his gratitude for their efforts, especially for keeping the group on track. He also pleaded all members to continue.

Similarly, the Chairman, Diaspora Contact and Mobilisation Committee, Chief Don Odunze expressed his appreciation for the members that attended the meeting and thanked ISPC leadership for their efforts. He also extended his gratitude to the coordinators of various countries who are working so hard for the organisation. He urged them to continue, he concluded.
