WIASUD: Overcoming Youth Challenges In A Dynamic And Challenging Environment.

The WIASUD International Conference is organized to enlighten the youths and students on dangerous consequences of drug abuse and suicide. It provides them an opportunity to hear real life shocking stories of people they admire today. Dr Ubochi shared his experience over the years as Chief consultant psychiatrist with focus on preventing suicide and drug addiction. Hon. Humphrey Onyima postulated that WIASUD is coming at a time when Suicide and Drug Abuse have risen to the climax.

Dr Nnamonu Emmanuel appealed for support from the public and government to the WIASUD book on drug abuse reach every young people in Nigeria. Prof. Jude Udenta appealed for government to provide employment for youths in Nigeria and begged parents and teachers to withdraw the constant use of negative or dehumanizing words on children and students. Slow Learners should be supported not condemned.

Some of the attendees pressed to know why people choose suicide easily and want what extent in a situation is suitable for someone to commit suicide.

The WIASUD founder and director Elijah C Edeh said that the NGO has carried out several campaigns and established chapters in some schools. He appealed to private and government agencies to support the organization to enable them to save more lives of Youths and Students in Nigeria and beyond.

Dr Eno Harrison John said that the increase in crime rate and domestic violence is dominant in Nigeria and warned attendees to desist from search for quick wealth and wait for God’s time.

WIASUD International Conference is first of its kind in Enugu State Nigeria. The conference trained roughly 500 Students attendees on coping skills and exposed them to moral fact that life is given by God and should only be taken by him. The executive governor of Enugu state, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi promised to support the NGO to reach out to millions of students in Enugu State.
